CRMC Round 7 - Cadwell Park September 13/14th

Ahhhh another favourite track.....and a surprise was in store in the form of Fast Eddy Morris.

Race 1 saw God, E1 and Eddy battle for a few laps and then Eddy cleared off. Not bad considering his bike is not hugely powerful, he was just fuggin fast through the corners! On the other hand, God's bike IS fuggin powerful (160+bhp at the rear wheel?)! So Eddy got the win, God got second with E1 close behind in third. however, there had been an "event" at the esses. Wideboy's rattling stocker had thrown up some fluids onto the track and LuckyDog and Frank had gone down on it. This was Frank's first outing on his new ex Tim Wolley P&M. He was NOT amused!

Race 2 was wet and no fun. Especially for Frank.......He finished this race, but then lost the front in a puddle and fell off on the start finish straight! More scratches and dents! Largh, well after the initial sympathy was over (about a nanosecond) we just had to  really! He took it well, mainly because he was enjoying the riding so much - a bit different from his limp old 250 thingmebob.

Race 3 on the sunday was dry again. E1 got away quickest and led round the first lap. Going round Coram something strange happened the back end stepped out. It turned out Fast Eddy had been thinking about going underneath E1 (like there's room?????) and had lost the front, clipped E1's back wheel and then totalled the bike in the subsequent outing into the bales. He was OK, but the bike definitely wasn't. e.g. headstock non longer attached to frame...

E1 and God then had a monumental tussle and got into flicking the bird at every opportunity! The best example was E1 doing the fastest bird ever, carried out between the 300 hundred board and the 200 hundred board as he went by God at the end of the Revett Straight! Thats 170 mph and the whole manoeuvre took less than a millisecond! In the end God won the race despite a massive effort from E1.

The last race of the day was the Race of Aces. This had prize money on it and was open to group 1 and group 2 bikes. Sadly Lee Gourlay had entered the race, so there was no chance of winning. Lee won, and once afriggingain, God beat E1 and took 2nd, E1 getting 3rd and £25 for his efforts.

Toyboy had had another outing. More teething problems with the bike saw it jumping out of 4th gear, not good at snetterton or anywhere else come to that. He even had his first off at the bombhole in the wet on saturday! E1 had just lapped him and he decided to follow.....

Despite the initial problems, he loved the racing and is fully motivated to get out there next year and score some points!
